From the legacy of São João da Madeira emerges the memory of João da Silva Correia. Born on May 8, 1896, he was a writer, journalist, industrial worker, and merchant. Regarded as one of the "patrons" of the city, his birthdate lends its name to the first building of Ponto Urbano in São João da Madeira. The name "1896" is combined with references to courtyards, traditional gathering places that in this project reflect the style of a "private condominium", a privilege for its residents. With contemporary design, Páteo 1896 is the ideal refuge to create new chapters of leisure and well-being.
